CRRU was recently appointed by JNCC as an accredited MMO Training Course provider (see: https://jncc.gov.uk/our-work/marine-mammal-observer-training)
This accredited course is a compulsory requirement for anyone wishing to work as an Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) in UK Continental Shelf waters.
The 1-day online course introduces the JNCC guidelines for minimising the risk of injury to marine mammals and covers a range of offshore activities, including geophysical surveys, piling, cable laying and explosives operations in the petrochemical and renewables sectors.
The cost of the course is 150 GBP per person, which includes access to complete reference material, worksheets and marine mammal identification guides.
