We are absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our new CRRU support vessel "Helios"!!!
This smaller, 6.3m Ocean Pro Humber RHIB greatly expands the existing CRRU fleet. In addition to the charity's larger, 8m Offshore Humber RHIB, the smaller vessel will enhance our ability to respond to multiple whale or dolphin strandings -- facilitating greater flexibility in CRRU’s current response to live stranding call-outs in NE Scotland -- as well as providing additional support for our long-term research and conservation work in these northeast waters
The funding for "Helios" would not have been possible without the plethora of support received from our numerous supporters, to whom we remain completely indebted, and thanks to the core funding and generosity bestowed by the following funders: The Robert Barr Charitable Trust, Betty Phillips Charitable Trust, LUSH Charity Pot, Matthew Good Foundation, Animal Charity Trust, Green Match Fund, AVIVA Community Fund, Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust, Beryl Evetts and Robert Luff Animal Welfare Trust, Animal Defence Trust, Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust, Aberbrothock Skea Trust, the Sylvia Aitken’s Charitable Trust, SPAR Community Fund, Marchig Animal Welfare Trust and the Alice Noakes Memorial Trust.
